How the canoe believed to be Cashalot survived

The surviving canoe believed to be Cashalot missed the raid because of damage and remained unrepaired after the workshop moved.

Notes

A surviving Cockle Mark II is believed to be Cashalot, the canoe damaged aboard the submarine before the raiders launched. It returned for repair, but the canoe work had already moved elsewhere when it arrived. The damaged boat remained there instead of returning to operational use. Volunteers repaired it much later, and it became a surviving example of the equipment used for Frankton.
