Force K was one of the Royal Navy's important forces for countering enemy surface raiders, although Force H was far more famous. It then became the Royal Navy's critical surface-raiding force. German warships such as Graf Spee, Bismarck, and Scharnhorst are the more familiar examples of surface raiders. Force K shows the Royal Navy using the same method against enemy shipping.
