Chapter · 1:12:38-1:30:28

The first Democratic Japan attempt collapses

The first transition fractures the armed forces, and loyalist naval control cannot overcome an immobile, scattered land army.

Notes

When civil war begins, the remaining infantry is reorganised under an aggressive commander ordered to drive on Tokyo. Amphibious and air support are attempted while unfamiliar command controls and an immobile exile division cause trouble. The Navy remains mostly loyal and provides bombardment, but sea control cannot create the land concentration needed to win. Loyalist troops are divided, trapped, or unresponsive while the opposing army controls the decisive ground. Command and force availability, rather than total equipment alone, cause this attempt to collapse within the game.
