A 27-knot battle squadron hunts in 1914

Six heavily armored fast battleships combine 13.5-inch guns, strong secondary batteries, and enough speed to threaten almost any 1914 opponent.

Notes

Six roughly 35,000-ton battleships can make about 27 knots in service. Each carries eight 13.5-inch guns, a ten-gun six-inch broadside, and armour reaching about 17 inches in places. The squadron has the speed to pursue most 1914 opponents and the firepower to punish anything it catches. The enemy refuses the engagement, so the fast battle line exerts control without firing a decisive shot.
