The maritime museum at Falmouth is described through practical demonstrations of boats and their handling. Visitors can steer model sailing boats in a pool and explore how they manoeuvre. Boatbuilding on site shows the construction of traditional boats of the kind carried aboard larger ships. The example connects the handling of small boats with the craft needed to build them.
