Escorts are the fleet's nimble ships, able to manoeuvre where its massive hulls cannot. The standard Cobra is built around torpedo delivery but retains a light turret, while the weaponless Widowmaker variant is dangerously vulnerable to fighters. Firestorms offer a mix of light weapons, and the Falcon combines torpedoes with useful anti-fighter fire despite an exposed-looking central structure. Their practical value is clearest when they protect carrier-focused capital ships, though using them as permanent rear guards denies the fleet other options.

Escorts cover the capital ships' gaps
Cobra, Firestorm, and Falcon escorts supply manoeuvre, torpedoes, fighter defence, and screening that larger ships lack.
