How earlier victories could concentrate the Eastern Fleet

Earlier success in Europe could release a much larger British fleet for Singapore, forcing Japan to confront a concentrated carrier and battleship force.

Notes

Neutralizing German and Italian surface threats earlier would release ships otherwise tied to Atlantic and Mediterranean cover. The counterfactual Eastern Fleet could therefore receive Courageous and Glorious alongside more modern carriers, battleships, cruisers, and escorts before Japan's advance. A surviving Singapore gives that larger fleet a base and keeps its logistics from collapsing at the outset. Japan would face a concentrated Allied battle fleet rather than two additional carriers operating by themselves.
