What counts as an infantry weapon in the Dunkirk accuracy scenario, and when does the accuracy apply?
Short answerFrom 23 May 1940, infantry-operated weapons up to small pack mortars gain 99 percent accuracy against targets the shooter can see within maximum range.
NotesThe rule requires firing in the target's general direction, keeping within maximum range, and being able to see the target. It applies from 23 May 1940. A follow-up defines eligible weapons as those infantry can carry and operate, with small pack mortars and a roughly 40 mm mortar mentioned as the upper example. That gives the panel a basis for imagining mortar bombs entering firing slits and Boys antitank rifles hitting German tanks. Hidden fortifications do not receive the same treatment because the visibility condition still applies.
