The automated fire-control system appears to divide individual turrets among several German dreadnoughts. This wastes opportunities because a badly damaged ship remains able to fight while shells fall on healthier targets. Concentrating fire on Baden during its damage-control crisis could have removed one enemy before shifting aim. The German ships also carry full magazines when they are hit, while the modern ship has already expended much of its ammunition. Target prioritisation and finishing fire matter as much as nominal rate of fire.

Divided fire leaves damaged ships in action
The simulation exposes the cost of assigning separate turrets to different targets instead of finishing one damaged opponent.
