Distributed missile ships still need sensors and presence

A distributed-missile concept is tested against sensor vulnerability, rearming, diplomacy, and independent global deployment.

Notes

Separating missiles from sensors creates a vulnerable sensor node: disable it and the remote launchers lose much of their value. Missile carriers also remain exposed while returning to reload, and protecting them may demand additional escorts. Crewed ships have diplomatic work to do through port visits and face-to-face presence. A small remote craft designed for a supported task group cannot easily replace a warship expected to deploy independently around the world.
