The Fuze Keeping Clock on Royal Navy destroyers

A mechanical fire-control computer helped destroyers direct high-angle gunfire and could make use of later radar data.

Notes

The Fuze Keeping Clock worked out firing information for high-angle engagements. With the right inputs it could also support fire against ships. Radar improved the target information available to the system. It was one way for a mechanical fire-control system already in the fleet to benefit from a new sensor.
