Royal Navy and allied destroyers as one fighting system

The Bismarck action is used to challenge national silos and emphasise the close cooperation of British, Polish, Canadian, and Australian destroyer forces.

Notes

Piorun's place beside the Tribals shows a wartime system in which ships and crews from several navies trained, operated, and fought together. An attributed later-war remark from Piorun's commander to a US destroyer officer says that experience with ordinary Royal Navy destroyers did not fully convey the Tribals' intensity. Aggressive allied units wanted to work with the Tribals, and the class's distinct culture made those attachments easier. Their interoperability rested on shared tactical practice and a similar operational outlook.
