Should diplomatic space be a removable module?

A live design question explains why multipurpose wardrooms, hangars, galleys, and secure routes work better than a dedicated diplomacy module.

Question

Would a removable diplomatic module that could be replaced by weapons in wartime make sense?

Short answer

Not really; it is more effective to make existing wardrooms, hangars, flex decks, galleys, and access routes adaptable for secure diplomatic use.

Notes

Diplomatic capability does not need to displace weapons in a removable module. Wardrooms, hangars, flex decks, galleys, and circulation routes already required by the ship can be designed for multiple uses. A small amount of extra preparation space and careful access control lets a crew host visitors without exposing sensitive compartments or stationing guards every few metres. The result supports diplomacy while remaining useful to the ship's combat and aviation missions.
