Taking Georgia to deny the United States another port

A land campaign against the Cherokee is justified partly by the maritime goal of keeping a usable Georgian port out of American hands.

Notes

The plan takes Cherokee-held Georgia before the United States can expand into it. This improves Britain's land position and avoids a direct border with Prussia. It also denies the Americans a port that could restore some of the maritime capacity lost through British control of New York and Boston. Territorial conquest is selected partly for its effect on an opponent's future shipbuilding options.
