The Daedalus class earns praise for what it achieves, but its box-on-box appearance receives a much cooler judgment. A more coherent shape with curves is preferred for the visual presence of a major warship. After the Goa'uld collapse, an Earth ship's reputation can make it intimidating to people who know its history. The criticism is that an unfamiliar observer would not infer the same power from its appearance alone.
