Cyber warfare will not erase physical war

Cyber weapons are valuable in peacetime and deniable action, but wartime isolation of military networks limits the idea that they will decide everything.

Question

Could cyber weapons neutralize each other and bring warfare back toward analogue methods?

Short answer

Possibly in some areas, but cyber tools are not decisive by themselves and protected wartime networks reduce their reach.

Notes

Cyber attacks remain valuable for deniable action in peacetime and for striking vulnerable civilian infrastructure. Their value does not make them a universal wartime solution. Military systems already operate on separated networks and can isolate or shut down connections when conflict makes intrusion more likely. That shifts much of the danger toward supporting infrastructure whose security is less controlled, from electrical systems to traffic management. Analogue resilience may reappear in some functions, while physical protection, redundancy, and network discipline remain essential.
