Chapter · 1:00:20-1:03:12

A captured French submarine becomes U-14

The French submarine Curie is trapped by defenses and salvaged as Austro-Hungarian U-14; U-12's attack then forces the battleship Jean Bart out for repairs.

Notes

Curie's failed penetration gave Austria-Hungary another submarine after an anti-submarine net forced her to surface for air. Austria-Hungary recovered and recommissioned the French boat as U-14, later placing her under Georg von Trapp. The next day, U-12 hit Jean Bart with one of three torpedoes and forced the battleship out for repairs. Defensive obstacles and salvage work added a submarine to the Austro-Hungarian fleet, while U-12 temporarily removed a battleship without a fleet action.
