One forecast for future ASW hunter-killer groups puts a crewed helicopter in charge of three or four uncrewed assistants. Those aircraft would operate in a coordinated pattern with several dipping sonars. Multiple sonars are intended to make a submarine's evasion more difficult. This remains a proposed future arrangement.
