Were all Conte di Cavour's turrets mounted on only two deck levels?
Short answerNo. Their offsets produced an effective three-level arrangement despite apparent alignment from some angles.
NotesThe five turrets effectively occupied three deck levels because the forward and after groups did not align identically. From one angle, the forward triple, centre triple, and after twin can appear level, while the superfiring twin forward and lower triple aft complete the staggered pattern. The unusual silhouette mixed turret sizes as well as heights.
