Combining air and sea lift in a commando strike force

A proposed commando force inserts one company by helicopter while amphibious vehicles, support units, and follow-on forces arrive by sea.

Question

How would a commando strike brigade combine its air-mobile and amphibious elements?

Short answer

Insert a company by helicopter, move follow-on companies in amphibious vehicles, and retain organic support and heavier landing lift.

Notes

A proposed commando force would insert one company by helicopter and a second in self-deploying amphibious vehicles. A third company could follow by either route. The ship would carry enough vehicles to move two or three companies, with helicopter lift for one company at a time, alongside artillery, logistics, and other support. SuperAVs could deploy themselves, freeing davit space for CB90s or other combat boats. Landing craft would remain useful for heavier equipment. This arrangement would let the air and sea elements reunite ashore while preserving the mass of a larger formation.
