Question

Could a real US carrier strike group defeat the Alicorn from Ace Combat?

Short answer

A favorable first strike might give the group a chance; without one, it could face serious trouble.

Notes

A well-placed first strike gives the US carrier group a conditional chance against the fictional Alicorn. Failing to obtain that opening would leave the group in trouble. The outcome depends on how the fight begins.
