The Camperdown honour roll pairs vessels such as Isis, Lancaster, Belliqueux, Bedford, and Ardent with their commanders. This shifts attention from Duncan's fleet-level victory to the separate crews and captains who carried it out. Readers can use the roll to trace an individual hull, officer, or later ship inheriting the same name. Battle honours preserve institutional memory while serving as an index into more detailed service histories.
