Daniel Webster's training role and uncertain preservation

Daniel Webster was converted to a training ship and continued in that role. Her subsequent status is described tentatively at the time of recording, with inactivation and probable disposal suggested. Museum preservation is raised as a hope. No preservation plan had been found, and the passage leaves her eventual fate unresolved.
