Retrofitting remote power control to British cruiser guns

Could British 6-inch Mark 23 and 8-inch Mark I or II turrets be adapted for remote power control?

Not readily in their original form, although smaller modern components could make conversion feasible.

The original 6-inch Mark 23 and 8-inch Mark I or II turrets were not naturally suited to remote power control. Their mechanisms nevertheless occupy substantial space. Replacing some of that equipment with much smaller modern components could provide room for a conversion.
