Why internet resilience does not remove battlefield communications limits

The internet's extensive cable network limits the analogy between its resilience and wireless control of battlefield drones.

Notes

The internet is raised as an example of a communications network that can keep working through disruption. The qualification is that much of the global network runs through physical cables. Satellite services, including Starlink, add routes through space, but they do not replace that extensive cable infrastructure. Applying the analogy to a mobile force still requires attention to how its actual links survive jamming and enemy action.
