The fictional Vondetan was planned with two Series 5 magnetic accelerator cannons and completed with one Series 6 weapon. This changes the battery from heavy MACs to a super MAC. The difference is larger than the model numbers suggest. Comparing the two fits therefore requires identifying the kind of weapon as well as counting the guns.

Replacing two heavy MACs with one super MAC
The Vondetan's planned two-gun battery becomes one super magnetic accelerator cannon, so gun count alone understates the change in firepower.
