A Yuuzhan Vong invasion during the Clone Wars

The Yuuzhan Vong would face an under-mobilized Clone Wars galaxy, a useful droid army, Palpatine's Legends foreknowledge, and a much larger fleet under the Empire.

Question

What happens if the Yuuzhan Vong invade during the Clone Wars or when the Galactic Empire is at the height of its power?

Short answer

The under-militarized Clone Wars galaxy probably loses despite useful droid armies, while the Empire's far larger fleet gives it a better chance but still leaves it facing a war on an exceptional scale.

Notes

A Clone Wars invasion would disrupt Palpatine's controlled conflict before the galaxy had mobilized enough ships and troops. Droid armies would help against an enemy hostile to machines. In the Star Wars Legends account discussed here, Palpatine already knew of the threat and ordered an attack on Outbound Flight because he feared it would provoke an early invasion. The Chiss had also encountered Yuuzhan Vong probes and suffered severe casualties. Even with that warning, the Clone Wars forces are judged insufficient. The Empire at its height would have a much larger fleet and a stronger chance, though the later New Republic and Imperial Remnant struggled together against the invasion.
