A British-French-Japanese grouping within the League

The second scenario explores a League of Nations shaped by an enduring alliance and Britain's relationship with France.

Notes

The League of Nations still exists in this branch, alongside an intact Anglo-Japanese alliance and unrestricted naval construction. Britain, France, and Japan could act together to shape its decisions. Japan would retain its economic problems, but the scenario removes some of the diplomatic exclusions and treaty grievances described in the historical sequence. France's wartime losses, wounds, and psychological damage would remain substantial. Even so, renewed French naval investment is presented as a challenge Italy would struggle to match. Italy's possible response is to join the grouping.
