Fleet's counterfactual 1980s British design, named Warspite, is a largely unarmoured surface combatant whose principal weapons are Harpoon and Tomahawk missiles. Its heavy guns follow the scenario's experience with Vanguard in the Falklands. Howe has also remained in service long enough to provide crews familiar with 14-inch guns, while scrapped King George V-class ships supply spare barrels. Vanguard continues consuming the available 15-inch barrels, making 14-inch weapons cheaper and easier to support in this scenario. Two twin turrets limit barrel consumption and prolong the supply of replacements.
