BrahMos and India's missile development

BrahMos challenged the assumption that the most threatening missiles would come from established major arms producers. Its arrival made Indian missile development harder to dismiss. About twenty years later, it remains a respected, capable weapon with improved versions coming, although its original impact no longer makes it exceptional by itself. A missile needs continued development as competing weapons and defences change.
