Question

If Lion went to the Mediterranean, would additional crews and escorts go with her?

Short answer

Probably not. Lion is the key reinforcement, while the Mediterranean force already has the supporting ships it needs.

Notes

Lion is the important addition to an existing Mediterranean force of roughly 25-knot ships. The deployment would not require a separate package of escorts or crews because the immediate problem is the absence of Lion's speed and firepower.
