Chapter · 8:52-9:36

Using battlecruisers to concentrate force

The campaign's battlecruiser-heavy navy seeks decisive numerical superiority against enemy battleships rather than fair engagements.

Notes

The campaign fleet contains roughly twice as many battlecruisers as battleships, so its commander concentrates them against isolated enemy formations. One cited engagement sends four battleships and eight battlecruisers against four enemy battleships, producing something closer to three-to-one capital-ship superiority than a fair contest. Speed helps the battlecruisers assemble that local advantage even though the wider fleet is spread across several theatres. It is a game scenario, but it frames a familiar naval problem: arranging force concentrations before battle rather than relying on a single ship to solve it.
