Chapter · 8:53-13:09

Maneuvering battlecruisers in divisions

Once the squadron is in action, it splits into mutually supporting two-ship divisions so both enemy battlecruisers can be kept under fire.

Notes

Battlecruisers are supposed to maneuver, and the simulation exposes the command work required to divide four ships without losing cohesion. A pair normally stays together for mutual support, while a four-ship squadron can form two divisions when that helps distribute its advantage. Each division is assigned to one opponent, preventing either enemy ship from firing unchecked. The tactic depends on both pairs remaining coherent; a division that separates or takes the wrong course can waste the numerical superiority.
