The navigator confirms timing and formation, engineering reports power and capacitors, the carrier air group checks its fighters, and the tactical team prepares weapons and reconnaissance probes. Other battle groups must also emerge on schedule because their spacing is part of the operational plan. Their emergence positions lie outside the planet's gravity restriction on faster-than-light travel, with the battle groups roughly a light-minute apart.
