Lend-Lease as one Allied war economy

The system aimed to replace inter-Allied price tags with a pooled war economy in which each partner supplied what it could do best.

Notes

Lend-Lease sought to remove dollar, pound, and ruble price tags from exchanges needed to fight the common war. The Allies would combine production and services into one strategic economy instead of treating every delivery as an ordinary export. Germany and Italy could have coordinated more closely, but the Axis never built a comparable system, especially across the European and Japanese war economies. Britain contributed forces, personnel, production, and infrastructure from Europe through India, China, Southeast Asia, and Australia, while the other Allies supplied their own strengths.
