Al-Faw and the Royal Navy's recent gunfire-support record

At Al-Faw in the Second Gulf War, three Royal Navy ships were available to provide naval gunfire support.

Notes

Al-Faw in the Second Gulf War is one of the most recent major naval gunfire-support cases discussed. Three Royal Navy ships were available to provide the fire. The earlier examples are also mainly British, with Tribal-class destroyers in World War II and frigates in the Falklands. HMCS Haida provides the Canadian case in Korea. The selection is explicitly Anglo-centric, and other national examples remain outside this discussion.
