The Wraith hive as an organic carrier

The Wraith hive grows organically, houses Wraith in hive-like cells, and circulates nutrients through a shared biological structure. Its drones are themselves extensions of the hive hierarchy, and some operate fighter craft as a further layer of parasite force. Distributed organic structure and self-repair help the ship absorb damage that would cripple a conventional hull. The same biology suffers under hyperspace strain and limited power, forcing pauses for recovery. A Zero Point Module partly removes those limits and enables the much more formidable super-hive. Reliance on an Ancient power source also raises the question of why a genetically engineered ship retained such severe power and structural limitations.
