The Secutor restores an Imperial carrier role

The enlarged Secutor sacrifices close-combat emphasis so its fighters can support Imperial Star Destroyers from behind the line.

Notes

The Secutor strongly echoes an enlarged Venator and carries substantially more fighters than an Imperial Star Destroyer. Unlike the gun-heavy ISD, it is not intended to make close engagement its main contribution. Its proper place is behind the battle line, sending fighters forward to support ships designed for direct combat. The example shows that even the Empire eventually needs a dedicated carrier instead of treating every large triangular hull as the same kind of warship.
